The Dog Court

They bark in orders
At people dragged in by porters
Each one in shackles bound
Their dignity thrown to the ground
Each plea before the howling judge
Hoping they not garner grudge
A spectacle watchers get
When the next to speak is met
Yet when a case is made
They aren’t the sounds that fade
Beware the dog court’s discord
They are just acting for reward.
